The right label on every container, every time
Print ingredient, allergen and use-by labels for prepared food straight from your recipes, so the label always matches what went into the pot.
Built for the way this station works
Recipe-based labels
Enter each recipe once with its ingredients. Allergens are picked up from the ingredients and shown on the label.
Use-by dates worked out for you
Set shelf life per item. The label prints the prepared time and the correct use-by date and time.
Works with thermal printers
Print from a phone or tablet to standard thermal label printers, in the sizes your containers need.
Batch codes for traceability
Each label carries a batch code linked to the supplier deliveries that went into it.
Labels staff can read
Print labels in English with an optional second language for your kitchen team.
Chef confirmation
Recipes and allergen lists need a named chef to confirm them before labels can be printed.
How it runs during a shift
Add recipes
Enter ingredients for each dish, or import them from a spreadsheet.
Confirm allergens
The head chef checks the allergen list and confirms the recipe.
Print at prep
Staff choose the item and quantity and the labels print.
Check and discard
Gutdgest reminds staff when labelled items reach their use-by time.
What gets written down, so you never have to
Every entry is time-stamped and linked to a person or a sensor. Records cannot be edited after sign-off without leaving a trail, and they flow straight into your Audit Ready pack.
About Allergen Labels
Who is responsible for allergen accuracy?
Your kitchen is. Labels are generated from the recipes you enter, and a named chef must confirm each recipe. Gutdgest keeps a record of who confirmed it and when.
Which allergens are covered?
The label and allergen matrix cover the 14 major allergens, including milk, gluten-containing cereals, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, mustard, eggs, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, soy, celery, lupin and sulphites.
Which label printers work?
Most standard thermal label printers that connect by Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or USB. We confirm your model during setup.
Last ticket of the night: your kitchen.
The floor is mopped, the chiller reads 2 °C and every closing task has a photo. Put your kitchen on the rail and run your first safe service day with Gutdgest tomorrow morning.
